Manchester United manager shortlist 'guarantee' emerges amid pressure on Erik ten Hag

Manchester United would have to act quickly to pursue Julian Nagelsmann as the club's next manager - although there are no concrete plans to replace Erik ten Hag in the Old Trafford dugout - as the Germany manager has two other proposals on the table before guiding his country to Euro 2024 this summer.

Speculation over Ten Hag's future remains at fever pitch. However, there is still more than enough time for the ex-Ajax manager to strengthen his position under INEOS Group.

In the event they do make a change, though, the new co-owners have been linked with Nagelsmann and several other high-profile options.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, though, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS Group are not planning that far ahead, even though they might need to in order to secure Nagelsmann.
