The officials branded ‘incompetent’ by Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers during his side's defeat to Hearts got TWO key decisions wrong according to an independent review – but not the controversial red card for Yang Hyun-jun at Tynecastle.
The Irishman was hauled before SFA beaks and given a one-match ban for a scathing attack on the men in black, and he named VAR man for the day John Beaton during his rant.
Rodgers was left raging after Yang's yellow card for a high boot on Alex Cochrane was upgraded to a red by referee Don Robertson after being sent to the monitor to review the flashpoint by Beaton.Yet the incident ISN’T one of ten included in the latest VAR Independent Review Panel (IRP) which takes the tally for costly errors for the season to a total of 26.
But included in the double digits are two other controversial calls during the incident-packed match in March with Celtic and Hearts seemingly both benefitting.
