Facundo Pellistri has left Manchester United to sign a permanent deal with Greek Super League side Panathinaikos after the two clubs agreed a fee of €6m (£5.1m), with a further €2m (£1.7m) in add-ons.
Pellistri has joined the Greek giants who are managed by Diego Alonso, who was Uruguay manager between 2021 and 2023 and he handed the young winger his national team debut during his stint in charge.
United have included a three-year buy-back clause in the deal taking the 22-year-old to Greece, while they will also pocket 45% of any sale should he leave Panathinaikos. ALSO READ: United consider PSG deal change to finally land Ugarte ALSO READ: United prepared to sell five more players before deadline Pellistri joined United from Penarol in 2020 and had two loan spells with Alaves in La Liga before making his United debut under Erik ten Hag in the 2022/23 season, playing against Charlton Athletic in the Carabao Cup quarter-final.
He started the Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena early last season before joining Granada on loan midway through the season.
