Facundo Pellistri has left Manchester United to sign a permanent deal with Greek Super League side Panathinaikos after the two clubs agreed a fee of €6m (£5.1m), with a further €2m (£1.7m) in add-ons.

Pellistri has joined the Greek giants who are managed by Diego Alonso, who was Uruguay manager between 2021 and 2023 and he handed the young winger his national team debut during his stint in charge.

United have included a three-year buy-back clause in the deal taking the 22-year-old to Greece, while they will also pocket 45% of any sale should he leave Panathinaikos.
