Manchester United could be without first-choice goalkeeper Andre Onana for at least four games in the new year after the returning Cameroon international helped his nation qualify for AFCON 2024.
Cameroon needed to win their high-stakes meeting with Burundi at the Roumde Adjia Stadium in Garoua to have any chance of making it through to the Africa Cup of Nations showcase.
However, the Indomitable Lions made light work of their opponents with a 3-0 win. Brentford ace Bryan Mbeumo was among the goals with Christopher Wooh and Vincent Aboubakar also netting in the Group C match.
Onana, 27, was making his first international appearance for Cameroon since this winter's 2022 World Cup in Qatar where he was sent home early following a bust-up with manager Rigobert Song.
