Manchester United explain Raphael Varane absence vs Chelsea

Raphael Varane is out of Manchester United's Premier League game against Chelsea with a sore back. Varane, 30, has now started one of the last 12 United games - against Copenhagen on October 24 - and he has not lined up in the Premier League since the 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on September 30.

Harry Maguire will continue at centre half alongside the recalled Victor Lindelof, while Jonny Evans has returned to the squad after a four-week absence with a thigh problem.
