Kilmarnock charity's car stolen in cruel Christmas Eve raid

Detectives are investigating after a Kilmarnock charity's car was stolen in a cruel Christmas Eve raid.Above Adventure, on Woodstock Street, was broken into in the early hours of the morning on Sunday, December 24.The branded Ford Ranger 4x4 was snatched from outside the climbing centre after entry was forced to the former church building.Police have confirmed that the motor was recovered later on Knockinlaw Road in the town.Detective constable Darren McDaid from Kilmarnock Police Office said: "Enquiries are ongoing to identify whoever was responsible. "I am appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity around the area of the break-in or the area of Onthank where the vehicle was recovered, or anyone who may have any dashcam or private CCTV footage which could assist us to get in touch.”Above Adventure said on Facebook that other items from the centre were also stolen and that they reckon the raid took place at around 7am.The charity said they depend on the vehicle and that it's used for their outreach programme.They posted: "We were broken into last night and they have stolen our vehicle and some smaller items around 7am this morning.
