Nathan Ake will undergo scans on Thursday to determine the extent of his hamstring injury. The Dutch defender has been a key part of the Manchester City team flying in three competitions under Pep Guardiola, starting 10 of the last 12 games and coming back into the team against Bayern Munich after being rested for the Premier League win over Leicester.

Ake could not complete the full match at the Allianz Arena though, with a hamstring injury forcing him off in the second half.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Ake explained how it is the same injury that he has had previously and that this time it doesn't feel as serious.

However, the centre-back and his manager will be left waiting for scans to reveal how quickly he can be back in action.
