Lower leagues stuck in limbo as SFA await Scottish Government decision on 'safe and sustainable plan' to resume

Scottish Government on if they can continue their league season.The bottom two tiers, the Lowland League, Highland League, West, East and South of Scotland Leagues were all brought to a screeching halt in January.The SWPL 1 and 2 were also stopped amid rising Covid figures across the county.However, the restrictions were only put in place until March 1 and the governing bodies have been locked in talks with ministers.The SFA have revealed a series of discussions have taken place via video conference with all leagues affected by the suspension, to establish the measures and protocols under which each might resume their competitions.This information has been shared with the Scottish Government but there is still no final decision.Jason Leitch.
