Love Island set 'for major shake-up on launch night' as fans don't have long to wait for new series

The show, which sees singletons enter the iconic villa in search of love, will be back on our screens on Wednesday 5 June and Maya Jama is set to return as host, giving fans their much-needed Love Island fix.
But it appears that ITV bosses are reportedly planning to take the launch up a notch as the show will celebrate its eleventh summer season when it returns to the Spanish island of Mallorca.
According to The Sun, the launch night will see Love Island broadcast across ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX for the first time ever. A source said: "ITV want to throw their weight behind Love Island and make sure it has a big, glitzy moment when the 11th series kicks off next month. "Showing it across every channel means creating what they hope will be a big TV moment.
