Love Island in huge announcement to celebrate 10 years on air

Love Island fans have more than just the new season to celebrate, as it has also been announced that Love Island All Stars will return to ITV2 and ITVX for a second series in 2025.The spin-off series will celebrate 10 years of the nation’s most popular dating show, and will feature some of the most memorable singletons from the show’s history taking a second chance on love at the All Star home in South Africa.

The dating series began in 2015, and has reached more than 36 million people, making it the biggest reality show of the past decade.The first series of All Stars, shown in January this year, saw Molly Smith (from the sixth series) and Tom Clare (from the ninth series) emerge as winners, having found love on their second try at the villa.

The second All Stars series will be shown next year. Announcing the show, Mike Spencer, Creative Director at Lifted Entertainment said: “What a perfect way to celebrate a decade of Love Island, by bringing back another all star class of Islanders for what will I’m sure be another vintage year of romance, drama and relationships.” Meanwhile, Paul Mortimer, Director of Reality and Acquisitions at ITV, said: “Love Island’s All Stars series proved to be an enticing New Year treat for our loyal 16-34 audience, so it is hugely exciting to be re-opening the doors of our South African Villa for another set of alumni.” ‌Martin Oxley, Head of Formats & Entertainment and Executive Producer for GroupM Motion Entertainment added: “Series One of All Stars gave a whole new dimension to goings on in the villa, and allowed us all to be re-acquainted with some of our favourite Love Island faces.
