With just three weeks to go until Love Island All Stars hits our screens, the show has been thrown into chaos by several of the returning contestants taking part as part of a last minute pay row.

This year, the returning contestants were reportedly being offered £2000 a week in order to part in the series, which would see former contestants return to the villa in the hope of finding love - an increase of around 433% on the standard fee of £375 a week.

But according to insiders, some of the contestants have argued this isn’t enough and have dug their heels in to demand more from show bosses if they are to take part. “Most of the returning stars have already filmed promo videos for Love Island All Stars but haven't signed their contracts,” a source told The Sun. "They are pushing ITV for more cash because they're saying £2,000 a week isn't enough.” According to the source, many of the Islanders typically rely on social media deals in order to earn a living and by going into the villa, where their phones will be confiscated, they could potentially lose out on a lot of revenue just by taking part.

As a result, they want their pay to reflect the financial hit they will be taking by starring in the show, with the entire cast banding together to try and put pressure on ITV to put forward a higher offer.
