Livingston star Andrew Shinnie says the Lions want to be relentless and turn their stadium into a fortress this season. The Lions are looking to bounce back to the Premiership at the first time of asking and have taken four points from their opening two games, following up a home win over Dunfermline with a 1-1 draw at Queen’s Park on Friday night.Shinnie, who is on a second spell at the club, having initially left at the end of last season, is delighted to be back and hopes to play a major role in Championship success.Livingston aren’t in action again until they host Morton on August 24, and former Rangers, Inverness and Birmingham City midfielder Shinnie said: “We want to get three points.

We want to be relentless this season, we want to be on the front foot, and take games to teams.“It will be a tough game, every game will be.

I know we’ve come down from the Premiership, but we don’t have any right to justturn up and win games of football – it’s going to be really difficult.

Teams will make it hard for us, Morton will be no different, and obviously we know [ex-Livi coach] Dougie Imrie well, and he gets his teams organised.“But it’s a home game, we want to make it a fortress and make it difficult for teams coming here.“We’ll rest up, train well for Morton and try and get the three points.”Livingston fought back from 1-0 down to a Zak Rudden strike in 36 minutes with a goal from Matty Clarke on the hour, and Shinnie felt they could and should have taken more from it.He said: “We thought we started the game well and up until they scored I thought we were probably the better team and looked in full control.“They scored, it was a sucker punch that probably rocked us a wee bit until half-time.
