Law AAC athletes enjoy National Relay Championships success with medals haul

Law and District Athletics Club took the National relay Championships at Scotstoun by storm recently, with medal wins, club records recorded and personal bests smashed.A fantastic turnout from the club saw them compete in various disciplines in Glasgow, where athletes battled through some tough conditions on the day.The U15 boys (Cameron Chambers, Anthony Murray, Jack Duffin and Luke Evans) took the first medal of the day in the 4x100m and won a bronze, while the medley team (Blair Beverley, John Frood, Luke Evans and Cameron Chambers) just missed out on the podium positions.The U17 women ran to impress in the 4x100m (Lauren McNair, Tiana Greenshields, Annalise McCormick and Tehillah Onkonkwo) and, after fighting right to the line, they won silver.Ten minutes later the 4x300m team (Tehillah Okonkwo, Tiana Greenshields, Lauren McNair and Neve Murray) left everything on the track and placed fourth.Next, the U17 men came out on top with two fantastic golds.

The 4x100m team (Jak Weir, Ross Duffin, Charlie Hall and Owen Murphy) ran a jaw dropping race, then came back for more in the 4x400m and took the lead once again.The 3x800m team (Daniel Simpson, Declan McClelland and Ryan Kellock) also battled it out, but unfortunately missed out on the medals.Law’s senior women didn’t miss out on any of the action and upped the medal tally.The 4x100m team (Jade Gray, Sophie Evans, Cara Jay Murdoch and Codie McHolm) took the bronze and the 4x400m team (Codie McHolm, Sophie Evans, Emma Gilchrist and Leah Keilser) smashed their race, finishing with a silver medal and a new club record of 4:02:54 mins.The senior men’s 4x400m team (James McClafferty, Mark Smith, Oscar Logan and Matthew Gillon) had an excellent run and gave it everything they
