Lauren found fame as a precocious 12-year-old antiques expert called James, who appeared on the Antiques Roadshow and Wogan, before undergoing gender reassignment surgery in 2003 Taking to Twitter her distraught mother penned: 'Please pray or send good thoughts to my precious daughter Lauren @Laurenharries.

As fans learned of the worrying news, many rallied to send their messages of support to the star, who appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2013. 'Send love and prayers to Lauren xxx,' wrote one follower, as others wished Lauren a speedy recovery.
