Lanarkshire nursery tots buzzing to raise over £2000 on sponsored walk

Tots from Busy Bees Nursery are buzzing after raising over £2000 at their annual sponsored walk.Family, friends and staff joined little ones as they walked two circuits round James Hamilton Heritage Park to raise funds for the Stewartfield-based nursery.Tots dressed up as bees to get into the spirit of the event as they made their way round the 2.4km loch for the fundraiser organised by the nursery’s parents’ committee.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

I loved being dressed up as a bee too.”An impressive £2155 was collected in sponsorship money with all proceeds going towards equipment and activities for the nursery.Committee member Joanne Hamilton said: “It was a wonderful turn out on the day and we are over the moon to have raised so much money for the nursery.“We’ll be putting the money towards equipment for the forest school so all the children can benefit from learning and playing outside.
