Kilmarnock gym owner delighted as venue scoops best in Ayrshire award

A Kilmarnock gym owner is beaming with pride after his venue was named as the best in Ayrshire. Evolution Gym in the town scooped a coveted prize in the Scotland Prestige Awards, and Paul Hope says he was in shock when he heard the announcement.

The Townholm establishment bagged top in the Ayrshire category, leaving Paul humbled after years of hard work. He told the Kilmarnock Standard: “It was a big of a shock when we got the news in, but we’re all delighted considering how many gyms there is in Ayrshire. “I am delighted with the award, there’s been a lot of hard work going into the gym over the last few years. “We decided to go 24/7 this year, and the service we’re providing for our members I feel we can’t really be beat in price, service or quality. “When I launched the gym I wanted to bring the best possible gym at the most affordable price.” Paul added: “When we decided to go 24/7 there was a few things to consider. “There’s only one other gym in Kilmarnock that offers that, we feel that we’ve got a better facility and better atmosphere than there, so it was just about thinking what they offer and we don’t. “The 24/7 access was the only thing they could beat us on, so we decided to get that in place. “We’ve got the gym, more classes than any gym in town, 24/7 access, a spa like no other gym with unlimited access and also a commercial sunbed for members too. “For £30 a month there’s not a chance anyone is coming close to that.” The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now.Get all the local news in your area – plus features, football news and the latest on the coronavirus crisis – at your fingertips 24/7.The free download features the latest breaking news and exclusive stories while you can customise your page
