Kanye West responds to Ozzy Osbourne sampling and Anti-Semitism criticism

Kanye West has responded to Ozzy Osbourne after the latter labelled him as an anti-Semite.The conflict between the two arose last week, when the Black Sabbath frontman took to social media to call out the rapper for sampling one of his songs without permission.On Friday (February 9), the metal icon was informed that West had looped a sample of the Black Sabbath song ‘Iron Man’ into his new album, ‘Vultures’.

West reportedly played the clip during an event promoting his new album with Ty Dolla $ign on February 8 at the United Center in Chicago.Responding to the usage, Ozzy hit out at West, sharing a lengthy post on Instagram in which he called the rapper an “anti-Semite”.Ozzy wrote that West “asked permission to sample a section of a 1983 live performance of ‘War Pigs’ from the US festival without vocals” but was subsequently “refused permission because he is an antisemite and has caused untold heartache to many.” The post was later amended to the song ‘Iron Man’.A post shared by Ozzy Osbourne (@ozzyosbourne)Sharon Osbourne subsequently lashed out at West, saying he “fucked with the wrong Jew this time” during an interview with TMZ.
