Dame Judi Dench has opened up about having an absolute blast while learning to DJ for a new show, saying it was "the highlight of my career".The renowned actress teamed up with her mate Jay Blades from The Repair Shop, whose marriage sadly ended in June, in Channel 4's Dame Judi & Jay: The Odd Couple, taking viewers on an exciting road trip.

She couldn't hide her delight as Jay taught her all about dropping beats, exclaiming with her trademark wit, "This is the highlight of my career." When Jay suggested she could become a DJ, Judi had the perfect comeback: "No, I'm the JD - and I've learned it all now, the timing, and all the buttons." But spinning records wasn't the only skill Dame Judi showcased.

She tried her hand at being a market trader, charmingly selling plantains to lucky shoppers and loving it. She mused, "I hope it's not the last time I get to do this because I quite like it.

Do I think I've got a future as a plantain seller? Yes, definitely. I love this job." Despite her admission that she struggles with her sight and nerves about unscripted work, Judi wouldn't trade the experience for anything. The documentary dives deep into the pair's pasts, uncovering mutual humour and memories that resonate.
