Philippe Clement has been on the hunt for a left back this window and looks to have found his man in the Brazilian - who is currently on loan at Cypriot side APOEL from Copa Libertadores champions Fluminense.
The boss has previously stated that players would only be allowed to leave should a replacement be found - and the 20-year-old deal is set to be cut short to facilitate a permanent move to the Scottish Premiership - with the futures of Yilmaz and Borna Barisic now up in he air.
Barisic is out of contract in the summer and is free to speak to other clubs with reports in Italy suggesting that the Croatian international is already in negotiations with Serie A giants Roma, and Yilmaz has struggled to find top form in the Scottish Premiership following his £5million move from Besiktas back in 2022.
