After 11 days in the Australian jungle, Jamie Lynn Spears has become the second star to sensationally quit I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, just two days after her campmate Grace Dent also left the competition to head home.

Sharing the news on Wednesday 29 November, it was revealed that Jamie Lynn, the 32 year old sister of pop sensation Britney Spears had left the camp and her hopes of being crowned queen on the jungle in the early hours of the morning, with show bosses citing “medical grounds” for her departure.

A spokesperson for ITV told fans: “Jamie Lynn Spears has left I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! on medical grounds. She’s been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities.” Jamie-Lynn is now the second star to have been removed from the show in a matter of days, after her fellow campmate Grace Dent also quit the show on Monday on “medical grounds.” The star’s departure will no doubt come as a huge blow to many viewers at home, who have delighted in watching her take on the toughest of jungle challenges that were thrown at her during her time in camp.

However, while it is disappointing to lose a fan favourite, many viewers had feared that Jamie-Lynn could be making an early departure earlier in the week after she appeared to be struggling immensely with being separated from her children.
