In the episode aired on Monday (September 2), viewers saw Tom's continued harassment of Belle as he delivered a new and sinister threat.
Despite Belle's efforts to escape Tom's emotional and physical abuse, she is unaware that he has access to her cottage via a spare key, has been monitoring her through hidden cameras, and has even infected her laptop with malware to track her online activities.
Belle received an email from the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme, also known as Clare's Law, informing her that there was "not a pressing need" for the police to share Tom's past, leaving her disheartened as her attempts to halt his abuse seemed thwarted once more.
