A woman has completely transformed her run-down council house using bargain buys from Primark, B&M and IKEA. Celene Francis, 25, began renting her council house in 2020 but when she moved in it was left in a "dire condition".
The mum-of-one said her home had plaster all over the floor, yellow ceilings, purple doors and peeling wallpaper. Since moving in she has worked hard to spruce up her property to make it feel more like a home.
Celene gutted out the entire house and has put her own stamp on it with DIY and bargain hunting. Her home is now a modern, stylish space and she managed to save around £10,000 renovating on a budget of just £3,000.
