Bernardo Silva was the unfortunate player to miss his penalty in Manchester City's shoot-out defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League this week, but he used that frustration to bounce back against the odds to score the winner at Wembley to send the Blues into a second successive FA Cup final.
And it was the 'brotherly' support of his teammates after his penalty disappointment that helped him recover in the space of three days to go from zero to hero.
Bernardo blasted the FA for their scheduling, accusing the authorities of 'not caring' about player welfare and admitting that he was playing with injury from the start against Wembley.
As well as his attack on the FA, Bernardo also opened up on his penalty decision that saw him chip the ball straight down the middle to allow Andriy Lunin an easy catch when the goalkeeper stayed rooted to his spot.
