A thrifty bride-to-be found her dream wedding dress in a charity shop for £340 – and is encouraging other brides to do the same.
Daisy Welsh, 42, knew that she didn’t want to spend thousands on a dress when her fiancé, Kris, 43 proposed. After searching for cheaper options online, Daisy noticed other brides in a Facebook group discussing a nearby charity shop and their selection of wedding dresses.
Excited at the thought of getting a good deal whilst also giving back to charity, Daisy, from Penicuik, Scotland, travelled to the Stockbridge British Red Cross with her bridesmaids and her daughter.
