Many people across the UK have found their cars filthy after rain carrying 'Saharan dust'. The mixture of sand and dust from the desert, which covers much of North Africa, has been found all over vehicles.
The Met Office explained that Saharan dust has been hanging in the UK's atmosphere. In Manchester, where there have been small bouts of rainfall this week carrying the dust, some cars have been left looking dirty as the water carrying the dust has evaporated.
