How a local football club is raising money for staff member with cancer

The Wythenshawe Amateurs Football Club are hosting a range of events to raise money for a member of staff recently diagnosed with cancer.

The football club in Sharston, Wythenshawe, is in the midst of hosting events dedicated to raising money for Daniela Carter and her family.

Daniela, the assistant manager, was diagnosed with lung cancer in December and since then the Wythenshawe Amateurs Football Club have come up with active and exciting ways to help raise funds. There was also a tombola, bouncy castle, freshly cooked pizza and face painting. Rachel Greenwood, the manager at Wythenshawe Amateurs Football Club, explained that the club was a community of itself and Daniela is family within it.
