Piers Morgan has said that he would have slapped Alex Beresford if he hadn’t stormed off his presenting role on Good Morning Britain last year. The former GMB host quit the programme last year after ITV bosses asked him to apologise for comments made about Meghan Markle’s Oprah interview last year.

Piers, 57, had got into an argument with weather presenter Alex Beresford, 41, on the show after Piers was called out for his criticism of Meghan Markle on the show, which led to the presenter storming off the set.

Now, Piers has opened up on how he left the set to avoid slapping his co-host, after coming to Will Smith’s defence after he slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars.

Coming to Will’s defence, Piers blasted what he called “snowflakery bulls***”, saying he probably would have “done the same”.
