Simon Cowell
Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. Heathhall residents hit out at rise in dog fouling

Residents of Heathhall are fed up with a rise in dog fouling.Members of the community council are appealing to owners to tidy up after their pets.George Irving, chairman of the Heathhall community council, said: “It’s getting worse than it was before.“It’s people with dogs not bothering to pick up after them.“We don’t see the community wardens in the area.

I feel they don’t have much of a presence and there’s a lack of bins as well.”The problem is so bad that responsible pet owners are picking up after other people’s dogs in addition to their own.Residents are being urged to report incidents of dog mess to the local authority’s community wardens.Judith Sauberlich, from the community council, said: “We do realise it’s a problem and I know a lot of people that walk in the area actually pick up a lot of other dog’s poo.“It’s an increasing problem, particularly around the streets, but why it’s increasing?

I really have no idea.“This is an issue which always comes up at community council meetings. Community wardens can be contacted and we encourage people to do that but they can’t be everywhere at the same time and there’s not enough of them.“We’re not the only area that has this problem but people are really fed up about it.”According to ward councillor Ivor Hyslop there have been “issues” with regard to supply of bins.He said: “There was one on the cycle path the council put up which was vandalised.
