Freaks and Geeks actor and comedian Joe Flaherty has passed away at 82 years old. Joe also starred as Donald alongside Adam Sandler in the hit film Happy Gilmore.
Joe's exact cause of death has not yet been confirmed, but it comes after the Hollywood star recently underwent a health battle that his improv comedy group organised a fundraiser for.
The renowned improv centre Second City - of which actor Martin Short is a member - raised funds to help the actor pay for his medical bills so he was able to spend his last days in the comfort of his own home rather than a medical facility. The news of Joe's passing was announced by Mad Men star Joel Murray who wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
On April 1s: "We’ve lost another of my idols. RIP Joe Flaherty 1941-2024." The actors shared a close bond over the years after previously starring together in the 1986 film One Crazy Summer.
