Glastonbury has announced the 90 acts longlisted for this year’s edition of the festival’s Emerging Talent Competition.The free-to-enter contest gives up-and-coming musicians the chance to play at one of the festival’s main stages.The winner will also be awarded a £5,000 Talent Development prize from PRS Foundation to help develop their songwriting and performing, while two runners-up will each be awarded a £2,500 PRS Foundation Talent Development prize.90 acts on the longlist were chosen by the judging panel which is made up of 30 of the UK’s best online music writers.
Each writer chose three of their favourite acts. The 90 acts will then be shortened to a shortlist of eight acts. The acts that make it to the shortlist will then go on to compete at the live finals in April for a slot on one of the main stages at Glastonbury 2024.
