Glasgow school evacuated amid 'unidentified smell' in building

A Glasgow school was evacuated today after emergency services raced to the scene over an 'unidentified smell'.Police and firefighters were called to Saint Andrew's Roman Catholic Secondary School, on Torphin Crescent early this morning, with parents claiming there had been a "possible gas leak" at the premises.Cops said the incident happened at around 11.15am after reports of an 'unidentified smell'.

The nature of what happened is not yet known, reports Glasgow Live.It is understood that the children have since returned back inside the school building.A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Police were called to the school in relation to an unidentified smell in the premises around 11.15am this morning.
