A schoolgirl was struck by a car on a Lanarkshire street and rushed to hospital after emergency services raced to the scene.

The 11-year-old was hit by the vehicle on Westburn Road in Cambuslang at around 3.30pm on Wednesday, August 23.A trauma team was among the 999 crews who responded, along with police and three ambulances – with the youngster being taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
