Get Walking Lanarkshire celebrates 10th anniversary

A popular walking group is marking its milestone 10th birthday with a series of special anniversary walks.Get Walking Lanarkshire was established in 2014 by NHS Lanarkshire, both local councils and Paths for All to encourage people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the health and social benefits of putting their best foot forward.Nearly 76,000 walkers have taken part in more than 7000 of the weekly strolls thanks to the help of 90 dedicated walk leaders – six of whom are still leading from the front having been involved for the whole decade-long history of the project.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
