Get along to free event in Lanarkshire community centre for a taste of what's to come

An initiative in Shotts that encourages people living in and around the town to become more active is holding a special event this weekend.The Get Active – Get Going programme which is based at the Shotts Healthy Living Centre is hosting a community launch event on Sunday, January 22 to promote its expanded health and wellbeing timetable.The free and family friendly event event will run from 10am until 2pm at the community centre, situated in the town’s Kirk Road, and will offer taster sessions on activities such as yoga, walking football, circuit training and weigh-to-go, there will also be cheap fruit and veg for sale, information stalls, and advice and support offered on a range of day-to-day issues.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
