'General Hospital' Actor Johnny Wactor's Cause of Death Confirmed
justjared.comActor Johnny Wactor‘s cause of death has been confirmed after his tragic passing over the weekend. The 37-year-old soap opera actor, best known for playing Brando Corbin on ABC’s General Hospital between 2020 and 2022, was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles in the early morning hours of Saturday (May 25).
Three men were attempting to steal a catalytic converter from his car. That evening, Johnny was working a side job as a bartender and was walking a female co-worker to her car at the end of their shift.
There were men standing next to Johnny‘s car and he reportedly thought it was being towed at first, but then they pointed a gun at him. Johnny moved in front of his co-worker and shielded her with his body when he was shot and killed.
The suspects are still at large. Keep reading to find out more… ET obtained a copy of the Los Angeles County Coroner’s report, which confirmed he passed away in a homicide from a gunshot wound to the chest.
