It turns out that peace lilies need a certain mineral to thrive, which can be found in the skin of a popular fruit that helps the houseplant "grow flowers faster".Sharing on the Gardening UK Facebook page, one woman claims she noticed flowers start to emerge from her peace lily after giving it a banana peel scrap.
If a peace lily is healthy and has matured enough, it will likely grow up to two flowers, but some varieties be more prone to blossoming at a slower rate.As reported by The Express, group member Maria Baligasa wrote: “Good morning.
Super excited with my peace lily. After putting banana peels, they started to grow flowers faster. It is working so well!”The houseplant enthusiast shared a before picture of the peace lily that hadn’t flowered and an after photo that captures a stunning white flower growing from the indoor plant.
