Liam Payne

Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.

He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.

Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction

Rita Ora was moved to tears on stage as she paid a heartbreaking tribute to Liam Payne following his shock death. The singer shared a black and white photo of herself with the One Direction star, 31, during her performance in Japan.

A fan page on social media shared a moment from Rita's show and said: "Rita Ora, whom Liam collaborated with, displayed a picture of herself with Liam on the stage's screen while she performed their song "For You"." Rita was visibly upset while singing a song she recorded with Liam.

Liam fell from a third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Wednesday with medics confirming his tragic death. Rita, who was friends with the star, struggled to finish their duet For You. The pair had released the track in 2018 for the film Fifty Shades Freed.
