A long-vacant fire-damaged site and a neighbouring Lanarkshire listed building are set to be transformed into 49 new flats.North Lanarkshire Council has submitted official planning applications outlining its proposals to create homes on Main Street in Coatbridge town centre, on the site between Academy Street and Church Street.It would involve constructing on land cleared following a building fire in 2017, demolishing neighbouring vacant premises and repurposing a B-listed former bank to become part of the residential development.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
