The fight to stop changes being made to neonatal services at University Hospital Wishaw has hit the debating chamber at Holyrood.

Scottish Labour’s vote to save the vital intensive care neonatal unit in University Hospital Wishaw was voted down by government MSPs despite the outcry from local families and from clinical staff.

Whistleblowers have said that the decision to downgrade the facility could endanger the lives of vulnerable babies and place remarkable strain on families.
