The family of a Scottish man who has been missing since March have been informed over the discovery of a body in a disused quarry in Edinburgh, Police Scotland have confirmed.
The Record reported on Monday that a body was discovered at Torphin Quarry in Edinburgh on Sunday November 6, at around 12.50pm.
Formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of 36-year-old Stuart Campbell, who was reported missing on Tuesday, March 22, has been made aware.
Stuart Campbell vanished after leaving a Co-Op store in the Scottish capital in March at 6.45pm. There have been numerous appeals since.His heartbroken mum Jane vowed to "never give up finding him" in a public appeal in September, to mark six months since his loved ones last saw him.Police have said the death is being treated as unexplained but is not believed to be suspicious.
