Erik ten Hag insists Jadon Sancho's Manchester United future depends on the player. Sancho is training away from the first-team squad, pending the outcome of a disciplinary issue, after he accused Ten Hag of lying over his omission from the matchday squad for the Premier League defeat to Arsenal on September 3.
Ten Hag said Sancho was dropped due to his form in training yet in a statement posted and pinned to his Twitter profile, the winger said it was "completely untrue". It remains unclear if Sancho will play for United again. "It depends on him. For the rest, we are preparing for Burnley and that's our focus.
He will not be in the squad." Sancho is open to leaving United in the January transfer window and the 23-year-old's representatives have floated the possibility of a return to Borussia Dortmund or move to Nottingham Forest, managed by Sancho's former England Under-17 coach Steve Cooper.
