The Reds were sloppy on the ball in the opening exchanges and Ten Hag wouldn't have been pleased at half-time. United were struggling to retain possession and that's what Ten Hag spoke about during the interval, according to Maguire.
That message worked and United improved in the second half to win the game 2-1 after a long distance strike from Diogo Dalot. "I think the second half was a good, strong performance and I really felt like the goal was coming, an amazing goal to win the game and it was pretty comfortable in the end and the boys did well.
