Merseyside Police has a gallery of mugshots for the murderer, appearing older and with longer hair as the years roll on. His name has been known to officers for the best part of a decade, possibly even longer, the Liverpool Echo reports.
His most recent spell in prison came to an end last summer. But on Christmas Eve, he gunned down a 26-year-old woman who was celebrating the festivities at a Wirral pub.
