Eamonn Holmes has come under fire after saying he was effectively "forced" to sell his second home in Belfast to pay an outstanding tax bill.

The GB News presenter, 64, opened up about losing two appeals against HM Revenue and Customs in a yet-to-be-aired interview.

Eamonn had insisted he was a freelancer while working at ITV, but HMRC ruled he was a staff member, therefore declaring he needed to pay ten years of backdated national insurance and tax payments.This led to Eamonn being faced with a reported bill of £250,000, leaving him with no choice but to sell his property in the Belmont area of Belfast.
