Shocked drivers were faced with BUBBLES on a road in Tameside this morning. Park Road in Dukinfield has been left flooded with the bubbles and soap suds.

A video clip shows the white foam covering much of the pavement and the road, with suds floating through the air over the street.

Drivers and locals were left questioning what caused the bubbly mess on social media this morning as they made their way through the usual scene.

Park Road runs adjacent to part of the River Tame, with reports on social media suggesting that the river had been 'polluted'. READ NEXT: Exactly when heavy rain will hit Greater Manchester as Met Office weather warnings come into force Jay said: "Someone has polluted the river".
