A double death probe has been launched after police discovered the bodies of two men at a property in Newcastle.Emergency services received a report of concern for two men, aged 59 and 60, after they failed to attend appointments.Officers responding to the report forced entry to the home in Welbeck Road, Newcastle, on Friday afternoon and discovered two bodies inside.Both deaths are currently being treated as unexplained as forensic officers and plain-clothed detectives carry out enquiries at the scene, Chronicle Live reports.A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "At 2pm on Friday, officers received a report of concern for the welfare of two men who had failed to attend appointments and had not been seen for a period of time.“Police subsequently attended an address on Welbeck Road in Walker.

Sadly the men, aged 59 and 60, were found to be deceased.“Their deaths are being treated as unexplained at this time and enquiries are ongoing.

Their next of kin have been notified and our thoughts are with them at this time.”Neighbours have since told of their horror after watching the bodies being removed from the home.McDonalds worker Jorga Bell said: "It's something you never think you will witness."I was at the window when I seen all the people in white suits.

The lady said 'the one in the living room', so they must have been in different rooms."She was seemed really confused and she asked the other forensics officer if they were alight."Then she said she hadn't seen anything like it before."And Jorga said the mystery surrounding the deaths had left her feeling very uneasy."We still don't know what's going on," she said. "The forensics were there all weekend."The police have not left.
