Thania Garcia Although Doja Cat‘s “Paint The Town Red,” the lead single off her latest LP “Scarlet,” leads the Hot 100 for a second week thanks to its command on radio (53 million impressions in the last week, per Billboard), the parent record failed to debut in the top three of the albums chart. “Scarlet” debuts at No.

4 with the equivalent of 72,000 albums sold in the United States, a fairly underwhelming turnout considering there weren’t any no other comparable, major releases on the updated list.

Doja has not yet landed a No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, though her previous LP “Planet Her” debuted at No. 2 in 2021 with an impressive 109,000 units sold.
