Pep Guardiola sees a quality in Manchester City youngster Rico Lewis that "was difficult to find for years". Lewis, 19, has had a storming start to the season in a team that has won all three of their Premier League games before the international break.
So impressive has Lewis been that he will be heading off to the England camp after earning a call-up to the senior squad. Playing as a right-back but with licence to roam forward and inside into the attacking midfield spaces that he relishes, Lewis has slotted into the side seamlessly to mean Kyle Walker has not had to be rushed back in following his exertions over the summer at the Euros.
Guardiola has made it clear that Walker will come back in, yet he admires Lewis's ability so much that there is no guarantee that the teenager will lose his place in the team any time soon.
