A funeral service for revered former Scotland boss Craig Brown will be held at Ayr Racecourse on Tuesday at 1.00pm.The legendary figure died aged 82 earlier this month and his passing was met with an outpouring of incredible stories which left no one in any doubt of both his managerial nous and unmatched personality.
Brown led the national side to consecutive major finals appearances with Scotland starring at both Euro 96 and the World Cup in France in 1998.
Brown also managed Aberdeen and Motherwell and was revered by everyone within Scottish football.And those who will not be able to attend the service in person, which will take place within the Ayrshire suite, have been invited to join a stream which will broadcast the service as those nearest and dearest to the great man to say their final farewells as well as fans who will be able to join via a broadcast on YouTube.
Brown enjoyed a playing career which started at Rangers, with both stops at Dundee and Falkirk but his true calling was coaching and his work within the Scottish FA was heralded.
