A Lanarkshire yob involved in "abhorrent" football violence has been handed a one-year stadium ban.Airdrieonians fan Lewis Baillie attacked a Cove Rangers supporter after a League One clash between the sides last year.Several visiting fans, including an elderly man, were assaulted when violence flared after a 1-1 draw.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Police witnesses attended immediately."Sheriff Thomson told Baillie: "You have no previous convictions so I think a fine is the way to deal with this."In a separate hearing, Nicholas Walker, 23, of Drumclair Place in Airdrie, admitted assaulting another man after the same match.The Cove Rangers fan lost consciousness briefly after being punched and knocked to the ground.Walker was put under social work supervision for 12 months and ordered to do 80 hours of unpaid community work - but he avoided a stadium ban.Airdrieoni
